Making travel safer with Railcorp
If you’ve noticed a reduction in graffiti on New South Wales trains, its partly to do with SNP’s canine patrols. At one Sydney yard which had previously been a major problem for Railcorp, graffiti attacks had become an extremely rare occurrence, with a twenty percent reduction reported overall. The canine team working in SNP’s railway security squad is the biggest canine deployment for a single customer in Australia.
SNP Security works in partnership with Transit Officers to improve station security, helping to make travel safer for Sydney commuters. The guards roles are widely varied, from escorting undesirables off station platforms or alerting police to potential problems. SNP Security Officers are just as often called upon to help members of the travelling public, like an elderly lady who tripped dangerously close to the edge of the platform at Richmond station. SNP Security Officers assisted the lady to her feet, and help her continue safely on her journey.
Gary Love, manager of Security Contracts for Railcorp, complimented SNP Security for “its cast iron commitment to effective supervision and to delivering what the client wants”. He praised SNP Security’s ability to respond quickly, adding “SNP is visionary in its approach to pre-empting Railcorp’s needs".
