SNP Acquires Prominent Canberra Security Firms
28 June 2007
In line with their strategic objective of establishing an expanded east coast presence, SNP today announced the successful acquisition of the prominent ACT based security firms – Canberra Alarms and ACT Alarms.
Both companies have been established in the ACT for over 20 years and have built a reputation for integrity and unparalleled customer service.
While the acquired businesses will continue to trade under their established identities, this new infrastructure will enable SNP to leverage from electronics into integrated solutions to support its market leadership in manpower services and meet its customers demand for a total security solution.
The Managing Director of SNP Security, Tom Roche, said he was extremely excited with this new development, reinforcing that SNP was selectively targeting companies with established high quality reputations for service delivery.
“We are highly selective in the acquisitions we pursue; service delivery and cultural fit are critical to ensure a smooth integration into the future. SNP is a full service provider offering both manpower and electronic solutions. These acquisitions were vital in fulfilling our ability to service both sectors in the ACT”, said Tom.
Brian Foster, SNP’s General Manager for Strategy and Business Development, who led the negotiations with the respective Vendors - Steve and Linda Carr from Canberra Alarms, and Hugh and Janny Poate from ACT Alarms, said there will be little change in operating parameters in the medium term with all parties remaining in the business as employees of SNP. Steve Carr will assume the role of SNP’s Manager for Electronic Security in the ACT.
