Security Officers

Quality and professionalism of our Security officers is paramount. As the first point of contact for many businesses, staff and customers – combining skills in service and protection is a critical element.

Site Supervision
One of the key areas that differentiate SNP from our competitors is the level of supervision that we employ, to ensure that our clients’ requirements are being met. The decision not to maximise profit by reducing the level of supervision has proven to be a key factor for achieving high level of customer satisfaction.

SNP Security has one of the highest ratios of supervisors to guards in the industry. The supervisor’s role is to randomly visit all permanent sites to ensure that security officers are complying with our clients and also SNP’s service and quality requirements and also to perform welfare checks. During their visits, the supervisors will walk the site with the on-site security officer to verify that the officer is aware of the duties and security requirements of the site. In particular, they will check:

- appearance
- licenses
- compliance with Assignment Instructions
- auditing of records and Incident Book
- auditing of site patrols

Each inspection by our Guard Supervisors is documented and the results of these inspections are checked daily by the Account manager and emailed to our clients at the beginning of each new month.  Our dedicated Account manager reviews the results of this Audit with the client, to discuss continual ways of improving service delivery.

Where non-compliances are identified, supervisors are qualified to carry out performance counselling.  In accordance with SNP’s commitment to Customer satisfaction and compliance we will as well undertake a regime of unannounced after hours inspections.

Training
  • Accredited security training
SNP Security ensures all guards have received the relevant Police and state approved security training. Specialised in-house training is conducted when required covering first aid, vehicle searches, bomb threats and fire evacuation.
  • Site specific training
SNP Security tailors induction packages for site-specific training, delivered to each Officer on a permanent guarding site. Orientation of customers’ building maintenance systems, risk analysis and business routines are established to ensure your guard is proactive from day one.
  • Customer service skills
Trained in customer service modules, SNP security personnel have the aptitude to deal with diverse issues and situations in a business like manner.
  • Professional image
SNP Security takes pride in the appearance of our security personnel.  Uniforms are provided to each SNP Security Officer to suit the environment in which they work, and compliant with strict OH&S regulations. SNP uniforms are clearly recognisable, facilitating high profile security.
Alternately, security personnel can be dressed in business suits for high profile companies and assignments. Enhancing the presence of security, without the overwhelming presence of uniformed officers.
