IP Monitoring Solution for major retail chain

With 120 stores nationwide, this major jewellery chain utilised a Securitel alarm monitoring service.  Each store utilised a separate alarm line, leased at a cost of $45 per month.

As the Telstra Securitel service is ending in December 2009, the jewellery chain needed to change their existing alarm transmission to a new platform.  After consultation with SNP Security, they opted for an IP Monitoring solution.

By using IP Monitoring, the client is saving $65,000 per year.  The cost of upgrading the alarm systems will be more than recouped by the client during the first year.

In addition to this significant cost saving, the stores are now receiving a higher class of alarm monitoring.

The multiple transmission paths safeguard the stores after hours, in the event of telephone network failure or malicious damage to communication lines.  Constant polling checks that the alarm is functional at all times, as opposed to the previous intermittent checks.
