SNP Security has been practising environmental sustainability for many years now, however just recently the company recognised the need to implement a formal sustainability program, particularly for the Head Office atWest Ryde. As a result of this, SNP Security joined the NSW Department of Environment and Heritage sponsored program – Sustainability Advantage.

Over the past two years, the Sustainability Committee within SNP Security has participated in several workshops and seminars to increase their knowledge and awareness of environmental issues in the workplace. These have resulted in SNP Security implementing several initiatives, particularly in the area of waste management and recycling. The business has also commenced the measurement of energy and fuel usage, waste separation and carbon emissions.

SNP Security has been successful in achieving Bronze Partner status for the work they have done at theirWest Rydehead office.

The Sustainability Committee within SNP Security have plans to extend the framework of the program to all branch offices within the country over the coming year.
